Dr. Entis has a Ph.D. in Physics from Harvard University, is a licensed US Patent Agent and Israel Patent Attorney and brings to the task of developing and protecting intellectual property a rich personal experience in many different fields of science, technology, and business.
Dr. Entis has more than 17 years of broad, in depth, international experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications, providing infringement and validity analysis, due diligence studies of patent portfolios, litigation support, and protecting intellectual property in the US, Europe, and the Far East. Dr. Entis drafts and prosecutes patent applications, consults on intellectual property law and strategies, and on a broad range of technologies for a stellar group of Israeli and international clients. Dr. Entis was outside council to Microsoft Corporation, during 2010-2018.
Kenichi N. Hartman, Ph.D.
Senior US Patent Agent And Partner
Kenichi received his patent training at the Manhattan office of Ropes & Gray, a global law firm with a leading IP practice and is a registered Patent Agent with the USPTO.
Since making ‘aliya’ in October 2011, his professional goal has been to provide IP services with the same uncompromising commitment to quality, attention to detail and work ethic.He brings specialist technical knowledge gleaned from a 12-year research career at Applied Materials, Brandeis University, the RIKEN Brain Science Institute (理研脳科学総合研究センター), and Harvard University, where he obtained his Ph.D. in Neuroscience.
Kenichi is fluent in Japanese and has experience drafting and prosecuting patents relating to pharmaceuticals, biologics, genetic markers, biophysics, medical devices, semiconductor devices, consumer electronics, data communications, and software applications.
Cheryl R. Figlin, Esq.
US Patent Attorney
Cheryl Figlin Esq., is a US Patent Attorney with over 20 year's experience in patent and trademark prosecution that includes three years as an Examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Mrs. Figlin brings to A.C. Entis, first hand, personal knowledge of the processes of drafting, prosecuting, and strategizing intellectual properties from both sides of the “IP divide” - from inside and outside the patent office, and from the perspective of different legal and business environments. Mrs. Figlin is a licensed Attorney in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and at the United States Patent and Trademark Office and is a member of the bars of the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, United States Court of Appeals for Third Circuit, United States Court of Appeals for Federal Circuit (CAFC), and the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS). As a staff member of the International Intellectual Department of the Henkel Corporation she supervised and participated in filing and obtaining patent applications using both convention expiration and the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT).
Cheryl Figlin, Esq. has a B.A. in physics from Rutgers University in New Jersey and received her JD degree from Cardozo Law School, where she was honored to be a staff member of the Cardozo Journal of Women’s Annotated Legal Bibliography.
Adriana Folberg-Blum, PhD
Israel Patent Attorney
Dr. Adriana Folberg-Blum is a licensed Israel Patent Attorney and has a PhD in Molecular Embriology from McGill University. She brings to A.C.Entis-IP more than 15 years of experience of drafting and prosecuting patent applications worldwide, while working with R&D professionals to identify patentable inventions and develop global patent strategies.
Before joining A.C.Entis-IP, Dr. Folberg-Blum was the Director of IP and Licensing at Rosetta Genomics, where she managed a complex intellectual property portfolio that included patents, trademarks, and trade secrets. In addition to drafting and prosecuting patent applications, Dr. Folberg-Blum is skilled in managing licensing transactions, performing due diligence studies and patent monetization.
Dr. Folberg-Blum is fluent in English, Hebrew and Portuguese, as well as Spanish and French.
Ayala Entis – Farag
Israeli Attorney & Patent Intern
Ayala Farag is a young and savvy lawyer with a strong background in the natural sciences. Before beginning legal studies, she studied biology and chemistry at Tel Aviv University, earning a B.Sc. in Life Sciences. In post graduate studies, she was sent by her research group at Tel-Aviv University to study bioreactor techniques and methods at Kiel University in Kiel, Germany.
Ayala studied law and received her LLB in the program for outstanding BA students at the Interdisciplinary College (IDC) of Herzliya. She is a member of the Israeli Bar Association since 2007. Ayala has mother tongue fluency in English and Hebrew.
Ellen Boermeester brings with her over fifteen years of experience in managing and administrating Intellectual Property (IP). She is responsible for in-house IP management at Entis-IP, as well as advising and assisting clients in responding to both domestic and foreign patent prosecution procedures and law, and in understanding their own IP management responsibilities.
Ellen has broad and current knowledge of US, European, Asian and Israeli patent prosecution laws and practices.
Ellen is fluent in Hebrew, English and Dutch. She has studied at the University of Utrecht, the Netherlands and holds a BA from the University of California at Santa Cruz. Ellen has experience in management of high-tech start-ups and has been employed as an IP paralegal at the law firm of Eitan, Pearl, Latzer & Cohen-Zedek and later at Eitan Mehulal Law Group.
Patent and Trademark Paralegal
Janine worked many years in South Africa in Bookkeeping and administrative work.
Since making Aliya in 2007 she has worked in the field of Intellectual Property (IP).
Janine has English as her mother tongue and basic Hebrew.
Janine has been employed as an IP Trademark paralegal at the law firm of – Eitan Mehulal & Sadot Law Firm.
Eti Aspir is an experienced bookkeeper with over 15 years in the profession. Eti graduated from the Hebrew University with a degree in English Literature. She then acquired type 2 accounting certificate at the Kiryat Ono College.
Since then she has worked as a certified bookkeeper in a wide range of companies and associations such as the Eli Dan construction company, the Inbal Association, D.C.D Maximum Ltd. (specializing in magnetic media replication)
In 2015 Eti joined the Entis-IP team contributing to the growth of the company with her skills and experience.
